About

About Me

Over the years, my work as a massage therapist has led me to a special focus: supporting people through cancer and complex health conditions, surgery recovery, and lymphatic health.

I feel deeply privileged to care for clients who are living with or recovering from cancer, preparing for or healing after cosmetic or orthopaedic surgery, or managing conditions such as lymphoedema, lipedema, or other chronic conditions.

My Story

Walking Alongside You as Part of Your Care Team

I see my role as walking alongside you as part of your care team, supporting your journey toward better health. I take the time to understand your needs and create a program that helps you feel better, stronger, and more at ease. My aim is to help you reach a place where you feel well enough to step forward without me, while always knowing I’ll be here if you need support again.

For me, this work is about blending professional skill with genuine care, so you feel safe, understood, and supported at every stage. No two sessions are ever the same — every treatment is shaped around you, your health history, your comfort, and your goals.

I work from a private home clinic in Kallaroo, Perth, that is designed to feel peaceful and supportive. Many clients tell me they feel at ease as soon as they walk in — a space that feels nurturing, not clinical.

  • Listening carefully to understand your individual needs before every session

  • Combining evidence-based techniques with genuine warmth and compassion

  • Working alongside your medical team to support safe and effective outcomes

  • Creating a calm, non-clinical space where you can rest and truly recover

Training in the Therapies That Matter Most

I’m trained in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), a gentle and clinically recognised technique that reduces swelling, stimulates lymphatic flow, and supports immune health. I hold Level 3 Dr Vodder International certification in MLD and Combined Decongestive Therapy — the gold standard qualification in lymphatic care.

As an Advanced Oncology Massage Practitioner certified with Oncology Massage Australia, I have been trained with oncology-specific knowledge and hospital practice protocols. This training included working in a hospital simulation ward with real patients with complex medical histories, enabling me to provide specialised care for those navigating the challenges of cancer treatment.

I completed my Diploma of Remedial Massage (HLT52015) in 2020 and I’m a professional member of Massage and Myotherapy Australia (MMA) and a registered member of the Australasian Lymphology Association (ALA). I hold current First Aid and CPR certification and meet ongoing professional development requirements.

To complement these treatments, I offer myofascial cupping therapy, lymphatic and musculoskeletal taping, compression support, therapeutic electrostatic oscillation therapy, and low-level laser therapy. Over the coming year, I’ll be adding oncology scar tissue treatment to my practice.

What My Clients Say

  • Carole is a truly gifted individual whose professional insight and techniques have been very effective in treating my long term neck pain and migraines. Countless years of physio and chiro treatment and yet two visits to Carole and I have never felt better. Greater neck mobility and being treated at the root of the issue that no other practitioner was able to tap-into. Carole takes the time to understand what you need and in her gentle patient manner goes about healing. A local neighbourhood gem I thoroughly recommend you visit and experience genuine healing and well-being at its best

  • As a Physiotherapist myself, I can highly recommend Carole Plumb Massage Therapy. Carole actively listens to me regarding my issues and offers professional advice on what would be beneficial. She gets results without significant pain. I will continue to attend Carole on a regular basis for the foreseeable future to help me maintain my general physical health and well-being.

    Judith, Physiotherapist
  • I've been getting remedial massage on and off for 25+ years from countless different therapists, and for the first time, Carole is the first and only therapist who really, genuinely listens to me. She focuses completely, 100% on her clients, utterly dedicated to our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Her massage skills are exceptional, but her empathy and compassion truly set her apart. Carole totally rocks!!!
